Scaldia Paper, a paper merchant and distributor of computer and office supplies in the Netherlands, was acquired from International Paper by Papyrus, a wholly owned paper merchant of Stora Enso. Scaldia has over the years built a strong identity in the Dutch market and this transaction will complement Papyrus’s business in Western Europe. Scaldia Paper has 180 employees and had net sales of EUR 109 million in 2003 from a sales volume of 55,000 tonnes of paper.
