M-real Meulemans

M-real has sold its subsidiary M-real Meulemans SA with folding carton plants located in Brussels and Arlon, both in Belgium, to the French Autajon Group.

Meulemans focuses on high quality consumer packaging products for beautycare, healthcare and food end uses. Meulemans has a staff of some 240 and annual sales of approximately EUR 30 million. The divestiture completes M-real's restructuring programme announced in October 2006 and also finalises Pöyry Capital's work in the successful disposal of M-real's folding carton business. The asset divestment target set for M-real's restructuring programme was EUR 500 million and it is now clearly exceeded being approximately EUR 700 million.
