Bengt Hammar received his BA and MPA from Princeton University in 1977.  After nine years with Citibank/Citicorp Investment Bank in London, he joined Morgan Stanley in 1986 where he became responsible for creating their European Forest Products and Packaging Coverage Team.  In 1995 Bengt joined BZW as a Managing Director responsible for their Global Forest Products and Packaging Group.  In 1998, Bengt was engaged by Jaakko Pöyry Consulting in order to develop a business plan for Pöyry Capital and was later appointed its President & CEO.

Brett Hutton received his BE from University of Western Australia in 1969.  After twelve years, principally in Asia with Bowater Corporation in forest Products management, he was hired in 1981 by the investment banking arm of the HSBC Group and had regional responsibility in Australia for corporate advisory and banking activities.  From 1986 he spent six years in the management of industrial public companies in Australia, including four years as CEO of Whittakers Ltd. a listed Forest Products Company.  In 1992 he was recruited by RGMI, a major industrial group in Indonesia, as Head of Corporate Finance and CFO of the Forest Products Division including APRIL and Indorayon.  In 1999, Brett Joined Pöyry Capital as a founding Director in the business.

Svante Adde studied at the Stockholm School of Economics to take his BA degree in 1979.  He joined Citibank in Stockholm that year as an account officer and moved with Citicorp to London in 1983 to work in M&A and corporate finance. Svante joined Lazard Brothers in London in 1989 to head up their Nordic business which he led until 2003 as a Managing Director / Partner.  During this period Lazard acquired its Stockholm office for which Svante was the Managing Director 2000-2003.  From 2003-2005 he worked as CFO of Ahlstrom in Helsinki and is currently a Non-Executive Board Member of Konecranes.

Key clients for Svante have included Merita / Nordea, Skandia, SE-Banken, Altor, Kymmene, M-real, Ahlstrom, Duni, BT, SCA, MoDo, Munksjö, Bonniers, Scapa, Partek, TeliaSonera and Volvo.  Svante joined Pöyry Capital as a Managing Director in 2007.

Tom Blake joined Pöyry Capital in 2008 to lead the creation of a pan-European Energy & Utilities investment banking team.  Tom joined from AdviCorp, an investment banking boutique. Previously he worked with PFC Energy and spent 18 years at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.  During his career Tom has worked with many energy and utility clients, including Enel, Endesa, Centrica, National Grid, Suez, Iberdrola, Repsol and ENI.  While at Kleinwort, he led the team which advised on the privatisation of Enel in 1999, the largest European IPO.  Tom graduated from Oxford University in 1984.

Asim Mullick joined Pöyry Capital in 2008 to lead our packaging sector initiative.  Asim joins from Credit Suisse in London where he has spent the last 12 years. Asim had led Credit Suisse’s European Paper & Packaging franchise since 2002. During his career Asim has worked with many major packaging companies and private equity houses in Europe and North America including Rexam, Gerresheimer, Ardagh, Pactiv, Rank Group/SIG, SCA, International Paper, Glatfelter, Blackstone, PAI, Doughty Hanson, Candover, Cinven and CVC. Previously he worked with BZW Corporate Finance and KPMG where he qualified as an accountant. Asim also holds a BSc (Joint Hons) from Kings College London
