Papierfabrik Adolf Jass acquires Convert Paper

Papierfabrik Adolf Jass GmbH & Co. KG, a family-run manufacturer of ecologically friendly papers for corrugated board packaging, has announce that it has agreed to acquire Convert Paper, a manufacturer and distributor of corrugated and solid board sheets, located in Gostyn, Poland, following a competitive process. Convert Paper, also a family-run company, employs approximately 300 people. The company’s business model is based on tailor-made solutions and 24-72h delivery time. Convert Paper’s product portfolio includes sheets of single and double wall corrugated board, single face corrugated board and solid board.

  • Convert Paper covers a comprehensive portfolio of products used in a broad range of industries:
    • Single & double wall corrugated board is widely used, e.g. in e-commerce, shipments and durable goods including home appliances and furniture
    • Solid board is most widely applied as consumer goods packaging requiring the highest printing properties
    • After delivered to packaging manufacturers, single face corrugate board is laminated with solid board and applied as higher-end packaging or marketing stands
  • The transaction remains subject to competition clearance and customary closing conditions and completed in December 2019
  • Pöyry Capital acted as exclusive financial advisor to Papierfabrik Adolf Jass. Our work included overall transaction management, advice on valuation and pricing, advice on negotiations with the seller and advice and support in negotiating the acquisition agreement and the supply agreement with Netbox
